Alejandro Carvallo P.Eng., MBA, ICD.D

Alejandro has managed construction companies all over North and South America as a General Manager and Executive Vice-President for more than 28 years. His success in leading the business of engineering construction has resulted in negotiation, strategic planning and risk oversight skills that carry substantial value and are adaptable to varied and complex situations. Alejandro has negotiated hundreds of millions of dollars in contracted commercial arrangements in Canada, U.S., Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Brazil and Costa Rica.
He is a Civil Engineer, holds a Masters in Business Administration and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School. Mr. Carvallo owns majority and minority investments in several private companies both domestic and abroad in the engineering, construction, oil and gas, pressure vessel manufacturing, and real estate sectors. Over many years, he has also acquired investment positions in Colombia and Chile. He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for certain of those companies and has also been a Board Member for different non-profit organizations.
He has resided in Calgary since 2006 with his wife and family.
Ronald M. Kavanaugh CBV, CPA, CMA
Ron provides accredited business valuation reporting and buy-sell transaction advisory services to the small and mid-markets for private and public companies and their shareholders. His responsibilities include management and execution of the firm's business valuation advisory and litigation support practice. Ron has testified in Federal Tax Court as an expert witness in the field of business and securities valuation and provided litigation support to several legal proceedings in the areas of taxation and damage quantification.
Valuation advisory services are rendered for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, dispute resolution, income tax, estate matters, and several other client contexts. The firm's general objective is to advise clients towards an informed value and economic perspective, risk mitigation and return on investment.
Ron began his career in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures after earning his Chartered Business Valuator designation (CBV) in 1995 (National Silver Medalist) through the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV). His range of expertise and abilities include professional business valuation, risk analysis, Canadian income taxation, corporate finance, transaction structuring, data mining, financial reporting and statistical analysis. He has provided advisory services in manufacturing and processing, financial services, crude oil pipelines, oil and gas resource production and development, offshore drilling services, energy services, wholesale and distribution, precious and base metals mining, enterprise software and SaaS, health sciences, high and low technologies, retailing, wholesaling, agriculture, residential and commercial building construction, contractor services and fabrication, professional practices, seismic and many others. Moreover, valuation studies have been compiled in a wide scope of tangible and intangible asset groups including those of some of the largest and most complex Canadian and foreign corporations.For more than nine years he worked in corporate and personal income tax compliance acquiring deep knowledge of Canadian Income Tax law. His experience over the last twenty-seven years has covered a broad spectrum of industry sectors and types of financial securities.
Ron obtained his Commerce Degree from the University of Calgary majoring in accounting. He is a member in good-standing with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta and resides in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Bradley is long-experienced in the executive sphere of strategic analytics and decision-making in mid-cap commercial business. He brings comprehensive professional leadership competence to economic and context risk assessment and problem-solving that serves Altair Capital clients optimally.
His executive-level work experience spans the insurance, financial, real estate, and television broadcast sectors.
He was the Vice-President and Executive Director of Dominion Broadcasting Corporate Group for several years before becoming the Founder of Sky Communications Inc. ("SCI") that provided DTH satellite communications equipment and internet working products. SCI was an authorized Dealer for Star Choice Television Network and Bell Express Vu; the only two Canadian DTH satellite television services available at the time.
Bradley went on to become the Vice-President Corporate and Regulatory Affairs at a Southern Alberta based television broadcasting Company. During that time, Brad negotiated strategic agreements with cable, DTH and satellite providers for signal distribution across Canada and Internationally. He increased the Company's operating budgets by more than $6 million dollars to respond to increased viewership exceeding 4.3 million households and substantial growth.
More recently, he was hired by and reported directly to the Controlling Share Ownership in Dallas, Texas of Guard-All Building Solutions. Bradley worked from its Canadian Branch in an advisory marketing and organizational structuring capacity before the sale of the U.S. Company in 2016.
Eduardo Fernandez M.SC., M.G.A., B.S. Eng.
Eduardo supports ALTAIR Capital with a wide scope of financial & management specializations and competencies for the execution of projects on behalf of our clients. He holds post graduate degrees from Stanford University (M.S. Engineering, Infrastructure Planning and Management; Stanford Business Executive Program for Small Companies-SME) and from the University of Pennsylvania. He has taught International Business, Natural Resource Management, Engineering Economics and Project Management at Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA and at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He also obtained a B.Sc. Engineering Degree from UCAB Catholic University in Venezuela.
Since 2004, Eduardo has provided corporate management, international finance and restructuring advisory services to varied industrial clients for investment, project finance, energy equipment financing, medical equipment, transportation equipment, aviation equipment (Hawker Beachcraft), Gen-engines (MTU-Tagnum from Germany), real estate construction management, the food industry, hotel projects and agri-business. He worked extensively in these capacities for American and Caribbean based companies. He worked for several years with multilateral and International development banks, financial and investment companies, capital & operating leasing equipment companies, oil and gas services companies and engineering firms. He was a member of the Board of Directors and CFO of a Latin American oil services Company in partnership with Deutag Drilling AG (Germany). He was also a member of The Board of Directors of Computalog Canada in Venezuela, a Company that provides logging analytics and reporting for oil and gas exploration.
After receiving his Master's degree in Governmental Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Fernandez was the Senior Consultant for the financial and capital markets advisory division of the International Finance Corporation ("IFC") in Washington, DC, (World Bank Group) advising on management and project finance for capital equipment leasing companies, operating equipment leases, lending and equity products related to Capital Leasing ventures of the IFC in 45 different countries around the World. Eduardo also was Managing Director (EVP) of The Latin American Development Bank (CAF) involved in different sustainable Infrastructure projects and financing in diverse countries in Latin America. He worked for more than nine years in the positions of General Manager, Vice President, and CEO of The Capital Financial Leasing venture of the Banque Indosuez – Paris in Latin America.
Eduardo is an active member of the Non-for-profit World Walk Foundation (USA) and also of the ASCE.
Grace is ALTAIR Capital’s real property transaction advisory resource supporting client business acquisition and divestiture programs that include land and building assets. She has provided real estate brokerage services in the Calgary residential and commercial market for over a decade and was ranked among the top brokers in the local market for the past nine years.
